Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

*sigh* Oh gawd, you got me there. (lols) Pardon, I do this sometimes on the forum. I get sloppy, and if your lucky you'll catch it... Notorious multi tasker here.My mind automatically defaulted Eckhart to Tolle. I am not very familiar with Meister so that confused me a bit, but hey, now I know.

Accept yourself as you are. And that is the most difficult thing in the world, because it goes against your training, education, your culture. ~ Osho

When spiritual teaching was just that: teaching simple truths. Now, we'd have to launch into a 40-page discussion on the spiritual importance and relevancy of anger and shadow-side behavior, heh.

tis because people enjoy the entertainment of spiritual ideas more than the application of self improvement and seeing deeper than appearances.

Yes, that is quite an insight, so true... something to keep them entertained. That is true of many aspects of society today I think, we have access to so much now that chronic boredom is becoming an issue for many.

“Quietism, Buddhism, and other religions, everything which denies the flesh—is the great inferiority to God in ourselves, an escapism seeking sanctuary through fear of life and inability to accept 'this reality'. They were hurt? Or was the odalisque unsatisfactory or too expensive? They expected too much for too little, or were too mean to pay—therefore: "All is illusion". But the Stoic smilingly awaits the next shower of **** from heaven. Stoics are not Saviours, Saints or Heroes and are often confused and weary, yet they prefer to find their own way and to accept life as they find it. The schizophrenics, the melancholics and psychotics—they at least are secretive and inflict no religions on others. They prove the possibilities and utilities of 'as if' when totally accepted.”
