A Readers letters in my morning paper sparked my curiosity today. Enter "Foxes and Bovine TB" in your search engine. The result will be an eye-opener !

Oh I don't think the foxes need worry. I'm sure our caring Conservative government doesn't want to kill foxes in the name of controlling the spread of bovine TB...They'd much rather re-legalise blood sports and kill them in the name of 'sport' instead!

Expecting trouble ? - they cannot pretend they were unaware.

"In today's paper, various parties are getting very excited about "extremist" animal/nature supporters who have promised to sabotage efforts to murder badgers. Of course, we supporters are just "plebs" so our voice does not really count, does it !"
Me, three pages back.

I really resent that - people using the word "extremist". From what I see they're ALL just decent, ordinary people with compassionate hearts opposing something that is wholly unjust and morally wrong.
I rather feel it is the Government that is acting to an extreme agenda knowing full well that their hare-brained plan doesn't stand up to scientific scrutiny, never mind the moral issue.
And they still haven't explained how they intend to kill 70% when they haven't got a clue what the 100% figure is!

There was a worrying article yesterday about genetic experiments in New Zealand about modifying cow's genes so that they would produce milk for people who are Lactose-intolerant i.e. GM milk ! A side-effect so far is that the calves born have no tails - a minor consideration to Dr. Frankenstein !
