Very glad that you are alive on the physical plane, BigJohn. 
I had a small motorcycle accident 17 years back, and I remember feeling the psychological trauma and disorientation
after the accident, because they were such unique and uncommon feelings I had. 
For a period I even feared motorcycling again. I think this was the body's response to the accident,
so as to make me alert and watchful the next time I rode.
The trauma and fear wore off with time.
