But it's a temporary situation overall? It hasn't caused a reduction in your spiritual/psychic sensitivity I'm guessing?

Witnessing full-form materialisation is highly uncommon nowadays and was the province of just a few accomplished and experienced mediums. Hypnosis wasn't involved but trance mediumship was.

It's certainly a possibility but it can be no more than a theory until it's been tested in some way, perhaps using experienced mediums to sit with those suffering from schizophrenia to see if both are 'picking up' the same spirit individuals. It might not, though, address the possibility that schizophrenics have a level of heightened psychic sensitivity/awareness that leave them sensing spirit forms that mediums do not.

I do agree most or all of us have some degree of emotional instability but most scramble through life without needing the specialist support and medication that schizophrenics often need.

I think it's fair to again make the point that an awareness of spirits, human and non-human alike, does not necessarily mean someone is a medium. This debate has been done to death on numerous occasions yet may still be misunderstood.

Spooky TV entertainment shows are likely to be one source of misleading information along with any amount of material found online.

In the Bible, it seems like the same arguments were used in Pharaoh's court by Moses and the magicians.

I have witnessed, in broad day light, full materialization, numerous times. Some of the events went on for some time. So, how could these events happen?

I must have told this on several occasions. I met up with a woman from a local tribe in Pueblo, CO, one evening in a 7/11 and we got talking. She was schizophrenic, she confided after some time chatting with me, but she was not taking her meds. She was having major issues during the night that frightened her. From the way she described things it could have been an unwanted spirit visitor attracted by her psychic sensitivity who was drawing too close to her or it could have been hallucinations caused by her not taking the prescribed medications.

I advised her to return to her family - they were worried about her illness and her being on her own and she was anyway missing them - and to consider again taking her medication as a way to start to gain some stability in her life. BUT I also suggested she consult with her tribe's shaman to look into the possibility she was attracting an unwelcome and scary visitor and to see if he could provide help based on their tribal beliefs.

I suspect some, if not most people have strange feelings 'running' thru their bodies when they experience something new they can not explain. And then, more 'issues' arise when trying to communicate those experiences to other people who have no idea what you are talking about.
