Hi lostchild,
Those are two very big questions that rest on the mind of almost everyone. There are basically 2 words that help to define a career that we love. The first word is Passion and the second is Motivation. Being passionate about something puts us into a spiritual alignment that feeds our body, mind and soul - we feel excited, connected and on track with life. And...whatever profession you do, in this life IS your spiritual practice. What if court reporting school is leading you to your purpose. Everyday messages arrive constsantly but we aren't paying attention or we don't see the significance of them. When we look at the purpose of why we're doing something we suddenly become aware and focused on everything....our perspective changes and raises the vibration of our energy field and we become in sync with the earth and the universe.
You cannot find your purpose if you aren't totally here to look for it. I read your other post in the Healing thread, regarding addiction. Any substance abuse is known as the scapegoat...it's a form of escaping responsibility from our lives. To find your purpose and align with it you need to be totally present to hear the messages of your guides and of the universe. The universe communicates through coincidences and synchronicities - in people, animals, street signs, newspapers, books, movies and anything else that will give you the message you need to hear. The more aligned you become the more insights and revelations will come into your life about where you should be going.

ravenstar, You're totally right. I wouldn't be aware of it even it was slapping me on the face if I keep using things that are only distracting me.

Truely there's no way to know, One can only know this after enlightenment.

When you give up the idea that there is a right path in life.

I saw this and remembered this thread:
From ACIM or A Course In Miracles...
What could you not accept, if you but knew that everything that happens,
all events, past, present and to come are gently planned by One Whose only
purpose is your good?

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

Is there ever a wrong path? All roads lead to Rome, as they say. Things may seem difficult because they are there to give you the lessons and experience you need for the future, an easy life isn't necessarily the best
