It should be kept in mind that some/many may have never felt connected to the great spirit in the first place so it's not a matter of their becoming re-connected.

Some lucky individuals have never been in the situation of not feeling connected to the spirit but for the rest fear of death is understandable and it may be a constant concern.

We all come from spirit pre-birth.

Of course we do. Birth only provides entry into this physical dimension and our eternal, our spirit individuality preceded and will again continue beyond incarnate existences.

We existed long before we incarnated and we'll exist way beyond the times we spend in this dimension.

I'd be more worried for myself getting very old then dying. I don't know why most people wanna get very old. If you get to your 80s you're close to 50% chance to have dementia. Chances of cancer also go up big time the older you get. I'd rather die quickly of some accident in my 60s I think. I'm just speaking for myself here, everyone else is entitled to get old and stay healthy but for myself I'd rather not navigate through all of it.

The frustrating part for you and others may be that none of us gets to choose - other than deliberately ending our lives - once we've arrived here.....

The other consideration is that when you're in the later part of your life you may see things very much differently from how you saw them in the earlier part. You won't, of course, know if that applies to you until it does apply to you.

It's analogous to declarations about what you'll do, how you'll feel, after passing over when the reality is that nobody knows for sure how they'll feel after passing - only that it MIGHT be the same as they feel now. The difference between life now and life 'over there' will be in perspective. And that's similar to the difference between what one thinks/believes when younger compared to how one may feel/think/react when one is somewhat older.

I 'speak' based on my personal experience of these matters.

Which is a choice, and an honourable one.

Boyce you are so right in what you say I cant say that I have seen a big difference in myself as for getting older and facing things to come
Because I already know what is a head for me.

My friend was adamant that she was going to die at a certain stretch of road when she reached a certain age well she is well passed that age.
now she laughs at herself for believing what she did,

As we get older our perspectives on life can change we look at things differently

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru
