Following how the word Elohim is used in the Bible, I would say Trimurti (the Hindu Supreme God) is Elohim just as the gods of Egypt are Elohim as depicted in Exodus 12:12.
'For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods [Elohim] of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

Happiness is the result of an enlightened mind whereas suffering is caused by a distorted mind.

My earliest recollections of 'God' was 'God' was everything.
Then when I began studying the Hebrew Bible, I was amazed how often Elohim was used and then realized Elohim apparently is 'everything'. Apparntly, I am Elohim and 'You' are Elohim.
I also find it interesting that Elohim fits nicely as "I AM THAT I AM".

[quote=Honza]God may well be described as 'living, breathing I AM'. From experience I have learnt that life/being cannot wander far from it's core.
That core can be called I AM.
Every Hebrew scholar on earth will tell you there is no i am that i am in their Hebrew written OT, it translates-i will be what i will be from Hebrew to English.
Deceivers put i am that i am in their altered translations.

Deceivers also alter Biblical Scriptures and omit 'I am that I am'....
God wanted to assure Moses and Israel that God would become what they would need Him to become. “I AM THAT I AM,” is an expression to reveal to Moses a promise and pledge found in His name.
God is providing a promise to Israel – He would become what they would need Him to become, their deliverer.

Hebrew scholars know more about their language than any trinitarian does. You are listening to the wrong people. You best relook.

I agree with keiw that Yahveh's name cannot be accurately described as I AM THAT I AM. However there are many other God's who do describe themselves as I AM.
I AM is a term that everyone uses, whether they are God or not. It is difficult to avoid. Personally I try to steer clear of heavy duty I AM and try to moderate my self.
