You know I not sure if this is a myth but one that puzzles me and is kind of creepy is the story of the Mothman! It just sticks we me for some reason...

I've always been partial to Orion, gargoyles and dragons.

As a history nut and hopeful near-future historian, any myth or legend that can be traced back to historical significance or reference (IE King Arthur, Merlin, Rhi Bran, the epics of CĂș Chulainn, Beowulf, the Odyssey, etc) are my favorites.

However it was the tales of King Arthur and Rhi Bran that really captivated me.

As for dragons, unicorns, and the like, they are not myths to me. I've always believed they existed, even if they do not show themselves. :)

One of my joys while at school way, way back was reading the Iliad in the original Latin - the journeys of Odysseus and the Trojan Wars were top legends for me.

I have tried to read the Icelandic sagas but they do go on a bit.
