Almost impossible. One problem is that some years, I have begun at 8/9AM and end at 5/6PM and do this for over a period of 1 month.

The shows are just overwhelming. Besides, most shows will not let you record very much because it is such a distraction.

Hmmm.. nowadays you can get a pair of glasses that have a hidden camera in them and record what you see basically.. works great for when going tourist style in new places.

You see, you could become the Crystal Spy !!

Those pictures are great but you have to be here to really appreciate it. One place on the internet claims there are 58 different shows this year. I know of 2 shows that didn't get on this list so that means there are at least 60 shows.

The first blog about them being in Tucson mineral fair came yesterday, with photos of them there and some of crystals they've already bought.
They said they were early, many traders weren't ready yet but in spite of that they'd already found a lot of beautiful crystals.

So far mostly restocking, so crystals they already had (before).
I hope they come across new stuff though, hihi.
And a new stock of pearls, as they were out for months and they used to get these pearls from Tucson.

2nd blog of what they've bought over the last 6 days has come in.
Still nothing new, not really.
Some things that have become quite rare that they did manage to get hold of regardless, like Satya Mani azeztulite and cavansite. The latter only tumbled pieces as the rough ones have gotten so expensive they don't bother with it.
I have no idea how much longer they're going to be there, but I suspect coming week for sure.
They said that many more shows have now started, but even now not all sellers are ready, so it isn't too busy yet.

I'm hoping that they come across something entirely new that makes me jump for joy, haha.
Usually they got the new finds in Tucson, but since they couldn't go for 3 years due to the pandemic they've found other ways to get them. So maybe Tucson will no longer be their main source of new crystals.

Wait and see.

Trouble is you would need deep pockets I would anyway you couldn't come away with just one crystal

I couldn't either, haha.
But they're buying stock for their shop, so they are supposed to have deep pockets. It's got to tide them over for quite some time, and refilling sold out stock.
Not a matter of pocket but number of pallets, hihi.
Normally they had it flown back to our country, this time they will ship it by boat.

A few years ago, one museum bought a crystal before any of the shows began. I forgot how much the item sold for but it was in the millions.

Prices typically are cheaper in Tucson then in other places: especially in the deep wholesale areas.
