Observation. See for yourself.
We actually know quite a bit, knowledge has its place. For example, knowing that we don't know is an excellent platform for infinite expansion.
On a deeper level, knowledge falls away to that which is prior to it, like a comma floating in the void with no sentence to punctuate.

Good answer - saves a lot of troublesome thinking and explaining.

BUSBY……”knowing that we don't know is an excellent platform for infinite “
I totally believe this.
Maybe it’s best to say, “I know nothing until I perceive or experience it.” Then whatever comes to us is totally original and not an assumption.
I feel we have to ask ourselves, “Are our beliefs original or are they regurgitated data/beliefs from somebody else”.
Yep, it’s a tricky one.

Usually both. Original in the sense that they are customized by our unique perspective (acquired over countless experiences, lives, identities), and borrowed, in the sense that they are conditioned within the collective consciousness, since ultimately there is no separate individual.

Completely agree with this . Many a times borrowed ideas with open mind bring new experiences and insights . It is very difficult to say how far the ideas and beliefs are original and truly experienced . If borrowed ideas and experiences are told with creative enthusiastic lively manner , it has good potential to ignite/inspire such experiences in others.

This makes sense to me. Whatever our spiritual philosophy, can any of us say that our ideas and beliefs are truly original? Mine certainly are not.
Some people may take all their beliefs from one particular source, ignoring all others. We might call this religion.
Others (such as myself) look to a variety of sources to create whatever model of Creation and spirituality makes sense to us. Such a model may be unique to us but is any of it really original?
Maybe the value of such ideas and beliefs is that they can act as pointers so that we may gain knowledge based on direct experience.
Hence the enduring popularity of spiritual teachers. They seem to have such knowledge based on direct experience. So we hope that they can help us to attain that same knowledge.
Peace
