Then came a time when it was no longer important to have much musicianship so the lead guitar was forsaken along with the music's soul.
Those blues greats were gospel singers originally and couldn't afford instruments. Now years later we have professionally produced recordings based on sounds that originated in being poor. Rock's purpose has never been to impress everyone.

Neither was the blues. A player would practice and when the time came he'd show 'em what he's got. The bands you present don't have the licks.

Here's a great tune, sadly not as energetic as I remember,
almost as if it's merely a cover version:
Lynyrd Skynyrd, "That Smell":

They're the same kin. Can't have God without the Devil. Evil spirit is deep down.

You make blues players sound like kids getting ready for a talent show LOL. I told you it ain't about trying to impress everyone. It's about heart and soul. If you knew that you'd have better taste in music. I can tell you about it, but I can't teach you heart. You have to learn that on your own. But if you'd rather have precise licks and superb production instead, be my guest. That's what most people go for anyway. Quite a step down from the real thing, but whatever floats your boat. If you'd rather have Mcdonalds than a home cooked burger, that's your taste. At least it's got all the correct dimensions and follows Ronald's carefully laid out scientific burger specification to satisfy you. It's crafted precisely and really shows you what it's got LOL.

It's about practicing and being the best you can be and when you're good enough, you take it to the stage and show 'em what you got. Idon't even care about my taste in music. It's just the quality of musicianship.
