What would you say " enlightenment " is exactly and what does it take to be enlightened?.
In my opinion there has never been an enlightened " master " whom walked, why?, because there are yet left unanswered questions.
The teachings that the enlightened ones left behind are inadequate and are not enough to free the soul therefore, I refer to them as enlightened but not " masters ".

When the light shines in the dark all that is unseen is seen.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

Nah I don’t reckon it represents ignorance. It’s just an old wives tale that is meaningless. I might Google it and see where it originally comes from.
I reckon originally it probably came from someone who was big on control ie if we tell people curiosity will kill you like the cat, then you won’t want to be curious anymore and they can keep control over you. Maybe something like that. What do ya reckon?
