I'm focusing on the word in the Subject. Root. Why do they have the greed, jealousy and wrath...these are the result of a root issue.

I hope this won't be taken out of context. We began the discussion of evil with money as the subject mentioned. But of course we know money is not but attachments we have. So the evil was never a thing or in a thing (object). We use a thing to understand a thing.

The subject is then the mind and the mind the object. Even when talking about ego we talk about the mind and we did not realize we are talking about mind. Evil is located then. The love of energy that fills the body. No thing has that energy but is brought out, by mind. Mind underlies all and all things. Spirituality has always talked about this but has no word for it, so they are borrowed.

What we think we do. If what is done is evil then it is because of mind and mind the object. What we do connect to being spiritual and spiritual is also doing. They are related almost like twin emotion.

The connection of spirituality and what we do is mind. We say no connection exists but it may. Mind covers every desire and attachment we have. Everything are seeds planted long ago. Nothing but weeds. Remember spiritual to is about doing, that connection we missed. Human action do compare to spiritual ones. Btw, even ego falls under this, mind. Many are missing the connection spirituality is not silent about. So imo when thinking about mind understand it is mind that sees every discussion of every conversation. Change the mind and there is no root and be careful and it is the seeds that take root. Also, see the root is helpful.

Jealousy, wrath, obsessive lust for wealth, hunger for power etc etc all arise from ignorance, don’t they? In ignorance we believe ourselves to be only mind-body, separate from ‘others’ and so act accordingly to maximise gains for the entity we assume is us. The delusion arises from ignorance. Remove ignorance and then what appears … recognition. Recognition of singular God-consciousness, being the all there is, inseparable from us, here now as the projected entity.

There are many analogies that can be offered, non-dual teachers are aplenty. What’s relevant us that the acceptance of this truth happens after several oneness experiences are assimilated in our in-form consciousness. Once that happens, there remains no possibility to act in a manner out of sync with the love vibration, being the only real energy … all else but a thought construct.

Thus, from this fulcrum, ignorance of ‘who am I’ is the cause of delusion and consequently all negativity or evil or let’s say misalignment.

If a persons wishes to be separate they have the right to be though, don't they. There are probably far more who believe they are body-spirit who act the same so is it only about that.

The root of all evil..

This world is a fallen world, Lucifers playground. There are dark undercurrents.
If you let that sink in, maybe you might see it in a new light?

All mixed into psychology, sociology, nature, basic human limitations, and instincts for self-preservation, and fear. We are a complicated lot, and greedy no doubt.

He taught more than just love but what our place is within the heavens, love was his driving force, no doubt.

But we can leave it as love, the rest will fall into place I'm sure. God has the power.

Swami Vivekananda would say something like evil is limitation.

Take greed. Greed is love of possessions. It's a limited love but still love applied very narrowly. It's conditional.

So it's degrees of limitation, and we call the narrowest expressions of love evil. Even the actions of a serial killer or genocidal maniac are driven by a love. An extremely narrow love of perhaps control or power that overrides all else, even self-preservation (love of self). We would label them evil whereas a thief might just be considered bad but not evil.
