here's a pretty tune from a 'hard-rock' band:
Led Zeppelin, "the Rain Song":http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4v-_p5dU34
Either way, if you wore a tshirt of your favorite band, you didn't walk alone at night. A drunk, expressionless gang of Metallica heads and Rush fans would bash you face in. 'Kill a punk for rock n roll' they'd say. That's how good punk is. :-) It calls out the close-minded for everyone to see. Same with rap.

I need to know it because I lived it. Others have opinions and I have experience.

I remember a riot breaking out after a baseball game (back in the '70's). There was an anti-disco rally scheduled that got outta hand.
The Who song I'd linked earlier expressed some of the anti-disco sentiment.
It's weird how people like to punish other people for being different (or for copying and being "posers") ... any excuse it seems.
Anger springs up and we seem to find a reason to "justify" our acting out.
Here's a mellow, sorta depressing song:
Heart, "Dreamboat Annie":http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQDJ45qJHBQ

The difference with me is I don't care if I like or not. I can who is playing really well and who's a hack. That has nothing to do with what I like. Quality is quality whether I like it or not.

Yeah, yeah, never mind all that. Gem, can you tell me where Wisa'ka (the OP) went to?
What does 'suspended' mean?
Here's a Stevie Wonder tune: "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing":

'Suspensded' sometimes means a tempory suspension and other times it means banned for life! I'm glad the guy left us this AWESOME thread though.

I need a place to be abnoxious and opinionated and arrogant. I'm worse that those awful punks when it comes to that! teehee.

I search for good music. I want to find a band that plays the screamin guitar. I want to hear something that ROCKS! I'd know if that was the case. teehee

Here's a guy that had some skill:
Robin Trower, "Spellbound":

This piece was sorta 'slow & deliberate', but you can feel a kind of power in the chords don't ya think?

I don't have much use for rap. Usually, I can't understand the lyrics and that's important for me. I like this tune though:
DJ Khaled, "All I Do is Win":
