Why is projection futile? Don't we learn from our projections?

Nothing is futile, everything is relevant. The failed effort is just as valuable as the effort that succeeds.
The projection and the projector are one and the same. In my experience, it is the Self reflecting itself
to itself, which is not futile.

Right. :) But I think I get what Ascension was going for...
the importance of the internal...over what's outside.

Definitely! The internal locust of life is closer to the source in its pure formlessness then the ever changing outward projections. Although the outward projections seem essential to soul growth.
Everyone is headed in the same automatic natural direction, some are just taking it much slower then others. I know lots of people who are fixated on the external and have no awareness of the universe that is within them. Still, I feel they will eventually gain that awareness, given the darkness that I climbed out of..
We gain insight from reflection, regardless whether that reflection is in our head, in our being, or in our outward expression. Nothing is that which do not have utility, in my opinion. Everything has its time, place, and use, in the grand scheme of things. |

The futility is the effort of projection when all you need to do is to let go of them,
there is no effort and there is no pursue only as it is .
