Hello,

“Is God a man-made concept?”

There seems to be many questions in regards to God and many view points.
These seem to be of human curiosity and perhaps insights, IMO.

Yet life goes on and does it thing regardless. Whatever one may or may not call what makes it tick.

Which indicates that concepts create ideas and in some ways understandings, but
Life does not need them in order to manifest what it has, will, and continue to do.
Life does not need concepts to be, it just happens.

What is made of it seems of humans creating ways to deal with it, adjust, and understand.

Just my take at the moment.

man made concept?

As God is omni-potent and omni present , even if it is man made as one may think , it is still God made because God inhabits every sentient being.

Every sentient being includes animal too . So animals too have consciousness and intelligence . Now there may be some difference in human and animal consciousness but that certainly does not deny absence of God-spirit in them.

Now even if it is man-made the way one may want to understand , it simply is not problem . Everything we use , think, appreciate is either man-made or man-facilitated . We have absolutely no aversion to man-made . Political concepts like democracy /communism etc are man-made . Even artificial relationships among us like husband/wife etc are also man-made & man-recognized . All scientific theories and researches too are man-made . So man does not have tendency to create anything inherently bad .

We all believe/respect/appreciate such man-made because we feel its real and it has power to benefit / damage us due to its knowledge/ignorance.

The reason people question God as man-made concept because they lack the belief that belief in God will not benefit them or they feel there many more things that will help them. The day one experience otherwise, his/her conviction will change and will start recognizing and appreciating God despite being man-made!

It would be like giving nuclear weapons to monkeys. Some would say they already have them.

I believe that all forms of awareness are the universe experiencing itself in all possible ways.

So according to my own personal beliefs, not only do animals experience God, they are God.

Humans evolved with awareness as well as tool making. Over time this creates a sense of ownership over others and speculating/pondering about one's place in the world. Reasoned from this perspective it becomes very attractive to believe that an even bigger, more important figure rules over us. And of course it's gotta look like a human, and talk and act like one. Only a more 'perfect' version. God as the ultimate human, the ultimate tool maker, the ultimate talker, ultimate lover, ultimate judge, etc.

But is it so extraordinary that we are different from other animals? Because of the things that make us 'human'? Chameleons are pretty extraordinary as well. Likewise coral, oak trees, jellyfish, lions, and so forth. It's our own choice to think of ourselves and our evolutionary luck due to circumstances as particularly 'special' and therefore worthy of special attention in this universe.

If you look at religious history from the time writing began (3400 and 3300 BC), the idea of "gods" (polytheism) already existed. This picture can be traced back farther than that, but it's a long story.

However, monotheism took another 2000 years in rounded numbers to appear - and at that time this "GOD" was the sun. The story changed after that going from the Zoroastrian religion to the Hebrew religion and traveling all the way to today.

With regard to "lower animals" ... no, this is all a human made and followed story.

I'd say yes.

God doesn't exist imo, we humans exist, God doesn't.

Now, being an old man, and having gone to a lot of trouble to seek and find, I have now drastically altered my position as to what we might well call 'the mystery of life' and have thrown all of the babies in the bathwater out.

God, Jesus, Chakras, Souls, Karma,Mohammed, Buddha and all the rest*deleted, opinion* and have simply arisen in mankind's search for a cause. We have been very good at creating foundations of all kinds and turning them into beliefs and institutions of all kinds in all colours.

There is no doubt thesedays that there is, or are, plenty of 'things' we have not yet seen, understood or even imagined. That is all yet to come.

We are still tiddlers in the ocean.

Busby.......I think those people may have existed, but us humans have naturally exaggerated a few facts around them to suit our own agenda.
As for God,I believe there is a God but not some elderly man with a beard etc.I see God as pure energy.
