I have some interest in the history of pagans. On what applys to me.
What applys to me is the oneness of the earth, sky, water, and such I have. I can look at the ocean and become high. I can feel the earth and be high. When the sky is full of water, electricity, and wind I'm high as a kite. These things heal me and make me into something new. Like a caterpillar turning to a butterfly. I'm a growing being of intoxication. Some how the elements are the tools of making it happen. Just because. I have never asked for it. But they keep giving and working on me. So I have some interest as to why its that way for me. For others its about other things. Like eating in certain ways. Behaviour. Or perhaps temples, teachings and etc. I have found highly spiritual people to rub off on me energetically. But altogether nothing compares to what the elements do for me. Weather I like it or not. Some how I am that way. Perhaps I have a history in me that brought me to that. So like I said I have some interest of the traditions because of that.

You just realize youre part of the world, rather then most people thinking we control it or arent a part, or at least separate

That could be it. Thanks time. I wonder some things still though. Why I'm associating the elements. Others I meet whom are experiencing similiar things associate teachings, teachers, and etc more. I know I have tons of memories on the native american life. But I'm thinking I have many on the Celtic or something along those lines to. I guess I'm hunting for something that actually doesn't matter. The native memories hit me on its own. The Celtic part only in some messages and thoughts. I may look into it some for curiosity sake. My feeling though is its something I need to dig into in dreams or in trance. Reading stuff that people wrote about it I don't feel good about. For some of the reasons you mentioned.
Perhaps I just love the outdoors a lot. Lol.

I think it is inevitable that one eventually realizes the futility of following a teacher, teachings etc. when the Truth lies in the relationship of the individual with the natural world. There isn't a thing that any guru can teach that cannot be taught through direct communication with nature ... and there are plenty of things nature can teach that a guru will never be able to.

The ONLY way to learn about the natural world is through experience.
