The Bible speaks of some breaking away and establishing their own country. A fierce war broke out. It appears that Asherah was a possible cause of the war. The faction that broke away had Asherah. If you do a search, I have mentioned her numerous times. She apparently, was not a woman in the sense we think of a woman as being. When the war was over, all aspects of her were removed.

As for the Bible stating she was Yahweh's wife, she was the wife of the Rebel's god but not that of the Hebrew God.

Archaeology's revelations of Asherah claim Asherah's Statue were present at the right side of the entrance to many of the Temples substantiate there was an entity called Asherah and that Asherah was very much different then the 'goddesses' involved in the countries around them.

You claim "and all modern Christians can do with it is use it against the equality of women and gays". How did you come to that conclusion? I suspect most 'Christians' have very little if any knowledge of Asherah.

Yes myth.

A real god would be some peeved and act against given how we change it's name so often. Right?

Only a fool would argue that the bible is not a myth based manuscript. A consolidation of other traditions all jumbled into one so called book of holy wisdom.

Without the Sumerian and Egyptian myths, Christianity and the N.T would not exist.

What a laugh given the facts.

First you want to talk about the inequality between gays and woman and when I started bringing up and trying to discuss the subject....... you no longer want to talk about that subject.

.....I Don't often ( if ever) post in religious section ...if only because I cannot stomach the arguments that goes with it....but to my mind it's not what a "fake" pastor does not want to "read" ......it's about who they don't want to "meet".... Namely ME .... I can smell a liar / fraud , a mile off.....

Thing is, people do not have any understanding of the mind boggling phenomenal numbers of dark minded spiritual beings that plaque this planet.

When a person is transformed into a child of the Heavenly Christ Entity, the person "literally" becomes 100% impervious to the onslaught of the dark beings.

The sword that has been spoken of on this forum recently, is not a double edged sword as mentioned. It is the Holy spirit 'ual essence.
And once this essence has been received by an individual, in sufficient quantities. The individual is set free from the very discrete oppression perpetrated by the discrete unseen ones.

God created light, though here it does not refer to the sun. When the Holy spiritual essence takes hold, an individual becomes all Holy, all Loving and all Merciful & the light of God is instilled within the individual.
