In "reality", as in generally speaking:

To procreate in order to perpetuate life's forward momentum. To survive, so we can raise kids to pass along successful genes.

In a more human level..

We have the unique oppertunity to be able to choose. As far as we know nothing else does it quite like we do. So simply, "the meaning of life" is to choose what you want to do, whether that be help people, be a convict, or what ever you do with the choices you make, based on the situations you come to face in our daily lives.

Hi dena,

My feeling is:
Life = One purpose = sSelf-discovery.
Everything is included within that in infinite ways and forms, whether or however any individual life is conscious of it.

No, why seek that which you already are, who you truly are put you here to experience its wonders, why not enjoy your wonders in stead of wasting so called time in trying to find who you already are. if you go on a holiday, do you wast your time wondering about where you came from ?.

Absolutley. I think this is another, quite possibly more accurate way to say what I also said.

Thanks Again Jyotir.

Hi Humm,
Yes, seems pretty much same idea: highest expression - many aspects (and implied is the entire process)

p.s. next time, could you please leave out the sarcastic smiley face though...

Perhaps them looking for a McDonald's Happy Meal in some exotic land is them being who they really, are. Each to their own.

My apologies Jyotir. It has been my intention to enhance forum communication through the use of smilies - that, and I am a naturally gregarious person - but recently I have come to see that in many cases their use is simply the cause of confusion.

I shall honor your request, and apologize, again.

Wow. I don't see any need for apology here.

And such a humble reply to a request that is arrogant, and ridiculous.

I see no sacrasm in the that smiley face. That is a benign, friendly emoticon.

For Jyotir to see it as sacarsm and ask you not to use it-

Wow- he is the one who should apologize.

I agree.
My apologies to both Humm and Lisa, (and anyone else), who did not misconstrue what was intended to be a comment itself - but now have simply revealed it as my own poorly conceived and misapplied sarcastic remark on 'smiley' emoticon use as the 'sure indication' of derision or conspiracy. The obvious arrogance and ridiculousness as a demand was (insufficiently) calculated as a clue to the 'faux tone'...because how absurd is it that emoticons are, well...
... in any case, I take full responsibility.

Apologies again,
Sincerely,

~J
