Sorry Uma.........I didn't even realize that I had taken the thread off track.
My apologies.
(You would think I would have intuitively known that......must be an off day...lol )

Do you know that there ar higher/clearer states? Do you?
In my experience yes. Higher states can be achieved In simple loving moments - Whilst healing Is be-ing given for example
Does the Pope think he is in this higher/clearer state?
Does Bin Laden?
You'll have to ask them that WS

Sadly Bin Laden does do quite a bit of this in some fashion...not for healing though, I think (LOL)...on the other hand, that means that despite how it may appear, he is still redeemable...which is good.

Intuition to me is just a combination of pure visionary, self trust and ''just knowing.''

I like to listen to the sounds of nature and burn some sage or incense and meditate. That seems to keep me pretty open to things daily. Sometimes I just know things, sometimes I hear things spoken, and sometimes see it. I used to use tarot quite often to open my mind up but I only still do to do readings when someone asks. I just consciously try to stay tuned in to the energy around me. Love the post, very interesting!

Jesus learned to meditate.
It's simple and so benificial. Sit up straight, loose clothing, quiet and undisterbed area, close your eyes and breath in one, two, three and breathe out four, five, six, seven, eight. As you breathe out focus on relaxing and letting go. This allows the cells in your body to do what comes naturally...feel good. This in turn will cause you to feel better both physically and mentally.

Hi Uma
Great thread, thanks for posting this.
I dont use any cards or anything - I rely on my senses totallly.
Generally information intuitively comes in through "feelings" or "seeing" pictures in minds eye for me, sometimes I will also "hear" . Its odd I hear in my sleep better than i do when im awake. However - through "feeling" I can usually pick a word to describe whats coming through. So "hearing" in another way instead of direct to ears! Otherwise a word flashes across my vision.
I dont usually do "readings" - I tend to get a nudge to offer up the information to that particular person - or Ill do a reading if someone asks for a one - and Ill tune in. I do this by centering myself - I find the easiest way to do this for myself - is to draw all my attention down into the "tan tien" area - not sure how to explain this - but its something i intuitively knew how to do - its like "bringing" all focus and energy within - to this one point - when I have it there ( which I feel ) - this is when and how i connect the best. Sometimes I dont have to do this at all - the "intuitive" information just comes - without - having to prepare myself in anyway. LOL.
I'm sensitive to energies - and accutely aware of when "someone" or "something" is in my auric field.
When healing - I tend to feel in my own body - where I need to go on the person being healed.
It's amazing actually - but - I trust my intuition and the way I "feel" more than anything else as a guide - its never steered me wrong yet.
Truth be known - the first time I never "listened" ( early days of development and I actually heard a clear message to go and do something right in that moment of hearing) - I regretted it as my intution was correct - and Ive never ignored this again.
It never cease's to amaze me - just how awesome - our skills and abilities are - and yes - everyone has these abilities - I think "awareness" is a major key in development of oneself - take notice of whats going on around you and inside of you....My two cents worth anyway.

Lynn, mine happens different ways. When I was a child, the words just came out of my mouth. Now I will get a tingle on my head or a lurch in my stomach. If I am doing hands on Reiki, then I am back to the stage where the words come out of my mouth. It is when I TRY to grasp the "Knowing" that it slips from my grasp; it has to be a natural process for me without any aides.

I heard someone use the expression once: "My knower knows."
That is a great way to describe my experience. It is about trusting for me too, sometimes my brain gets in the way by proposing all the reasons I couldn't possibly know something. Using this expression allows me to insulate my inner knowing from the attack of logic long enough to discern its usefulness or validity in a given situation. The longer I am able to sit with my "knowing" intact, the clearer and stronger my intuition becomes and the less I need to defend it.
Another funny thing that has been happening with me since I was a teenager is when a person is talking, sometimes the words they are speaking are somehow relevant to me. Maybe they represent a lesson in my life I am trying to avoid, or words are spoken to a group, but aimed specifically at me, perhaps the person is not clear themselves of what they are trying to say - or possibly even being dishonest. What happens is that they are going along talking and all of a sudden, the acoustics change and I hear their words as if they a being spoken directly into my ear inside a very small room where the other person and I are the only two people present. It's a very strange thing, but it happens all the time. That is my intuition telling me "Listen VERY carefully because this part contains information you need."

I suggest you pick up a copy of Craig Hamilton-Parker's "INTUITION" Book and card pack. Published by GODSFIELD BOOKS. It will explain everything and teach you what you want and need to know. You can most likely find it on Amazon, it runs around $19.95
