Hi Dizzal ! Feel free to post pics if you would like. I would love to see them. I adore rainbow fluorite, that's why I bought that one and would love to see yours.

From what I read...yes, they're practically the same, golden healers and yellow quartz! I'd never thought to look that up before.
Someone recommended I create four glasses with crystals for different purposes and set them in the four corners of our home, so picked up some citrine, black tourmaline, red jasper, and others for that, plus added already-owned tumbleds! No difference a week later...but they're pretty!

Just when I thought I was done collecting crystals I had to get some more.
I got several tumbled sodalites to help me with my throat chakra.
The day before that, I visited an uncle who gave me more fossilised wood with blue opal, a blue rock and a grey rock with green speckles. He said the green speckled one came from Chile. Since the blue shows up better in water, I guess I'll make a centre piece with them.
He also gave me magnetised titanium (TI04 I think). It's a powder so I can use a magnet on it.

Finally got my 25 LBS citrine specimen that I ordered from China. I put a picture of it on this thread just a few posts ago if anyone wants to see it. In person it actually looks much more natural. The bright yellow is only apparent when it's in direct sunlight, it looks much more like my smoky citrine that I have already, however I never had a 25 lbs specimen before
Should be receiving my 26 LBS pink tourmaline on quartz any day now !
I think I am beginning to have a problem buying crystal clusters. You guys are probably the only ones that understand maybe how I feel. I guess I'm sort of an addict and looking for that " first hit " experience over and over. I am lucky I have a good job, but seriously it's getting obvious I have some kind of unhealthy obsession with them.

Well, let me be the first to help you, just go ahead and hand over that pink tourmaline on quartz. Go on, it'll be the first step in breaking your addiction! Nah, it's only a problem if it takes over your life. You've been lucky enough to find your wifey friend who understands and has her own love of crystals!!
My friend is beginning to understand and showed me some pictures of stones he wants to get me for Christmas...someone to help me in my obs...collecting!!

Hi Taurmel ! Thanks for putting it in perspective. I guess it's not that bad, I mean people collect all sorts of weird things and at least crystals are appreciated by most people for their beauty, and they don't wear out or break down like other objects we consume. And of course everyone has their vice, unfortunately I have several.
My place is starting to look like that cave that superman visited ( I'm sorry it's been a while since I saw that movie but you know what I mean.)
You're right, I am extremely lucky to have a wife that shares my love of crystals and doesn't think I'm being batty. In fact, I started my love of crystals kind of because of her. She bought a large amythest cluster years ago and I always kind of adored it, thought it was cool. I bought her a celestite egg one year for Christmas because I knew she was into that stuff. Once I started being exposed to the two crystals, I just kind of fell in love with their beauty, and the rest is history....
Sounds like you have quite the nice friend yourself. Some of my friends are starting to admire my crystals, however they actually have hinted they want me to buy them some, so my situation is much much different than yours LOL !

Just bought my girlfriend a 85 mm Quartz crystal ball with black and gold tourmaline inside. Got it for a Christmas gift she doesn't know she's getting it. She really loves tourmaline and she doesn't have a crystal ball quite this big or one with tourmaline so I think she will really like it. She collects the polished items like spheres and pyramids and I prefer large natural uncut clusters.

A nice piece of Kyanite, 2 Moldavites and a Rutilated Quartz globe that I can't stop looking at. The inclusions are hypnotic.
