lucifer means light bringer and is the name given to the planet venus as the morning star. in the bible jesus calls himself the morning star on 2 occasions.

thats Interesting so it's like an ranking system within the relm of angels. I know about archangels and gaurdian angels a little bit though. well I like that you are Knowledgeable about the concept. |

Hi,
I think lucifer is a metaphor for our shadow side.
If lucifer was not forgiven then that would mean that God does not forgive.
Just a thought

Love is love, there cannot be an evil love.
If it was literal it would mean ~God does not forgive, which would contradict everything that is taught in the name of God.

hi Gismo I think some things in the name of god and relgion can contradict itself. for example some extremist kill innocent people in the name of god because they think they will get a free pass in heavan. I don't think god will forgive lucifer for betraying him and I don't think lucifer cares either way. |

perhaps Lucifer is a prodigal son - just as Adam and Eve were cast out ... but really i think a major question is whether Satan was a seperate deceiver, but i have also read that lucifer was a roman god of the governance around 500ad

i dont mean to but in ladyvirgo, but i was curious myself and looked it up.
he was first mentioned in Ovid's Metamorphoses. written in 8 c.e.
the one and only mention of him in the bible, Isiah, was a mistranslation.
