Have you looked up the meaning of silver? I just found the colour curious.

A quick excerpt I found quickly on the net:

Quote:
From a color psychology viewpoint, silver signals a time of reflection and a change of direction as it illuminates the way forward. It helps with the cleansing and releasing of mental, physical and emotional issues and blockages as it opens new doors and lights the way to the future.

Hi there

I have indeed looked into this, but have not managed to find a suitable therapist. Like with hypnotherapy, they all advertise it as something they use on their websites, and when you get there for the consultation they do something else. I don't know if I am just attracting 'unhelpful' therapists - probably - but I do keep trying!

Scarlett, thank you so much - again! You are really making me think. I had not considered looking at the colour and that description is fascinating and very, very encouraging. Perhaps it is ready to 'break open' now and I just need to keep doing what I am doing.

Thank you so very much for your input. It is beyond helpful.

Now this would all be fine if it wasn't for the fact that it is almost like having a boil, the poison is leaking out. I want to lance this boil and get the stuff out and then clean it all out. I just don't know how. My mind is like a guardian. It simply is not allowing the bubble to break.

Any suggestions? And also, is there a psychology term for this?

Thanks

I have not read the whole thread nor do I know the issues you want to address.

You could try EFT=Emotional Freedom Technique( I think!).

It is basically tapping on certain points while saying a mantra. Let's say, you want to adress anxiety, then you could look for an EFT anxiety video.

You could in fact check out a specific forum section to EFT.

I am not a therapist but I have just starting doing my own consultations, if that interests you. I've been through a lot and can help on the psycho-spiritual side of things.

Hi SadFlower,

I too suffered abuse as a child. I'm so sorry for what you went through. The pieces of the therapy that were most useful to me were confronting my attacker. I did this in my head and, recently, had a chance to do it in person when he tried to reach out to me after 26 years!

But the most empowering part of all these scenarios was finding my strength in those situations. You were a child, and someone violated your trust, the very innocence of simply being a child! Ugh, it makes my heart sick. Nothing you did, said, or experienced in those situations was your fault.

Realizing that was the first step for me. Then I had to find my strength in those situations, review the years of emotional trauma I endured and pat myself on the back for coping and surviving! You're a survivor (insert roar here)! And we all get to benefit from knowing you because of your survival and coping skills!

I too think healers can help, and I will be sending long-distance healing energy to help rid you of that ball! Even though the memories may never leave you, you can teach yourself to see them in a new light -- to focus on your strength first, before letting the energy from those experiences victimize you over and over again.

You'll get there! And that ball will just bounce away! I pulled a Tarot card for you -- hope that's okay! It was the "Hope" card (see below)! You will overcome this! This card also suggests that simply sharing your experience with others can be therapeutic. So, please feel free to reach out and talk about this any time!

Much love to you!!
A

Thank you so much for this message and the beautiful card. I am so sorry that this happened to you.

And you are right, keeping the silence was part of the deal back then, so talking about it does help!

Thank you again, I am going to look up that gorgeous card and read up all about it.
