That is how demons work, they act as your friend while they destroy.

So please don't talk to me about love for none of you have God's love. You only know human love that destroy, and resentment are controlled by a demon. Once it leaves, everything is healed physically and emotionally.
Parents destroy their children scarring them for life, these kids become angry and fall to drugs, cutting , sex and God knows what.
People are not responsible, it is the demon that controls them. My exorcism happened 35 years ago and I will tell you after seeing its sneering face. I told it to get lost and meant it and it never came back. no more anger and I thank God for the healing.

Anyway, I am through with this conversation. I know I am talking to closed minds. so be it.

Is it really the ego? In the desert, a demon tried to tempt Jesus, but it couldnt fool him as it does so many.

Yes Jesus had an ego as well, he had a carnal nature as also his divine nature, these were in conflict, and we also have a carnal nature and a divine nature, one is real the other is false. Even the Buddha was tempted, and this is where the story of Jesus being tempted came from.

i must disagree with most of this thinking, although i too prefer less dogma.
truth exists everywhere (i believe), but perhaps not in abundance;
after all, water can be found in a desert.
the call for "evidence" generally strikes me as a desire for "proof", given
from some "external" source... which is somewhat pointless, since truth is
located inside (as i understand things).
also, i sense that we each have our own paths to follow, so i can't say where
someone might find their individual empowerment - that knowing is specific to them.
dogma can be a bugaboo. it may reward style over substance. yet, having a "system"
can be beneficial for people; it can provide a common framework for communications at the very least.

I am referring to Truths that are related, or identified with, Christian beliefs. Even though many of the Truths can easily be seen as universal, or identified by anybody.

what about awakening to the truth about mans sinful natures?

The best way to over come our so called sinful nature is to realize our true nature, that is being One with all there IS. No one can do this for us, not even a saviour, we can only do it ourselves, all we need to do is find our SELF, and the rest will naturally fall in place, after all its our true nature.
