The higher self can't lie to us, this would be counterproductive.
It could simply be your ego, or a sabator, either of these will make you believe you are on the right track when actually you are not.

Let's look at this...
So you decided not to go...and now you think it has lied and is embarrassed and is hiding....after it insisted..
Now, someone else might think... I have free will, I have decided not to follow my heart or angel or guide...
I didn't listen to it...oops,
it is busy elsewhere with a charge that does listen.
Another scenario...this is not a wonderful spirit at all...but, what
some could call a prankster spirit.
Another, scenario....it was coaxing you to go, not saying you will go...
the connection is not as clear as it was now because of not trusting it ... as might be expected with anyone,
God Himself, or angel...
Just giving other angles...I don't know.
The Holy Spirit as you asked in your title does not lie.

I asked Jah to purify my heart and I have seen a change after that process. After that, I can no longer talk to my heart, but it only tells me yes/no when I need direction.
I think it might have been some sort of irregularity in my higher self.

Oops, I did not realize there was a page 2 here and have only seen the latest posts now.
It was not up to me to decide to go or not on that day, but to my father. So it wasn't that I did not act on it.
My connection with my heart also can get weaker at times, sometimes after prayer. When it's weaker, it is simply silent when asking it for direction, sometime it's silent sometimes it's not. |

You could very well be told how all this works but possibly more important than that is understanding and building trust in your own way.
One thing also to somewhat be aware of is that, from the other side, there is no past or future just a myriad of possibility and they might steer more by affinity than we might within time and space.
And also any sense of identity that might be required is only required by us... for how can selfless have self?

This sounds like a spirit. Possibly good, possibly bad, possibly some shade of grey (unless you're schizophrenic or your subconscious mind is doing this).
Always do things because you think or feel that it's a good idea. Never do anything solely because a spiritual source guided you to do so.

It is important that you understand why you were told you can go out and it turned out you couldn't for the whole day but whatever it was does not sound like lying or dishonesty to me. Good luck with your higher self!

What you are feeling seems to be a connection to your higher self, as stated by the many great answers from members. I always, and this is just a personal thought, as the higher self being the Holy Spirit connecting in us.I believe (just my belief by things I have experienced and read up on), that the Higher Self is the Creator/Source and Christ, plus our soul united into one, hence making the Trinity. I have special moments where I know I am connected to something bigger and more beautiful, than can be explained. It's a beautiful joyful feeling.Everything seems to fall into place after these experiences. I also believe that we all come from one source, the Creator, so we are allll connected. .From pond scum, to snails, ants, trees, birds, flowers, humans, everything, we are all from one source and created equal.Why you should feel you were lied to? Maybe you didn't follow your intuition correctly? Maybe you misunderstood your Higher Self? I don't think you would be lied to, but maybe misunderstood something? Maybe.Maybe journal some of your experiences. I started doing that recently. Hope this helps alittle.
