I guess it would depend on where you are in your Buddhist path. For myself I would take "No Time to Lose" by Pema Chodron. It is her interpretations of "The Way of the Bodhisatta" by Shantideva (8th century sage). If it was someone totaly new to meditation and Buddhism I would recomend "The Joy of Living" by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. There are so many wonderful books. Since I have a Kindle I would just load it up
