I was just googling for soft, shiney bouncy hair.... my hair has always left a lot ot be desired...but I went through an odd period when I enjoyd my hair. Think tomorrow I'm going to slather my hair with mayonnaise and/or eggs and honey.

try using the moon cycle to cut your hair. Apparently there are certain times during the moon cycle that if you cut your hair on it will promote fast hair growth. you can also use the moon to slow hair growth.
another tip would be to use coconut oil. Massage in your scalp at least half an hr before you wash it.

Well, here's a perspective from a spiritual point of view.
Your body knows how to grow your hair, it doesn't need any help. The thing that might be the problem is you telling yourself you have a problem growing your hair. Your body will respond to that thought (your body creates whatever physical condition you want) and suddenly you are having a problem growing your hair.
My suggestion would be to see if you can find out when your perspective changed about your hair. What thought did you latch onto, what belief came over you, that changed your thoughts from one of abundance of hair growth to one of lack of hair growth?
Then, the next logical step would be to remember the feeling, the emotion of having wonderfully growing hair and stay in that feeling each day for as long as you can and change the belief that you have gifted yourself with back into the old belief that you had, but do it with vigor and joy and appreciation.
Just my 2 cents. :)

I discovered I have hereditary hair-loss a few months ago and started a combination of the following with remarkable results:
herbal - saw palmetto, fenugreek, biotin
non-herbal - minoxidil lotion
I also use some herbal shampoo & conditioner specially designed for hair loss containing all natural organic ingredients including saw palmetto, fenugreek, biotin, vitamin B, etc. Make sure you avoid any shampoo or conditioner which contain sodium lauryl sulfate.
I also take multi-vitamins and fish oil.
When you see a hair specialist this is exactly what they will put you on along with another prescribed medication called finasteride and the use of laser therapy.
