Perhaps God or whatever name you choose, created itself in the sense of wanting to experience itself through infinate ways without judgement. So what started as nothing was actually everything but did not have a way to observe itself as it already was all that is. So it began creating limitless experiences to know itself from all perspectives.
What is you, is the observer within knowing itself, kind of a microcosm of the macro.
What you are feeling in an emotional sense is the energy of experience.
The thinker is perhaps the ego? as i feel the knower is the observer(God spark within us).
That is the source we all share whether or not aware. (just my opinion)
The memories from past lives do live on at times, perhaps at the cellular level which would explain strong connections with people/places/eras in time.
Just my two cents! Great thread as i look forward to seeing other's views.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

That made me smile and laugh, thank you. Although, i am sure these ideas have been mentioned before in one way or another so mine are nothing new, but thanks for the humble moment

Enjoy your pondering; hopefully you won't come up with too substantive an answer to spoil things.........
