packwidget, sorry on my other post I turly intended to tell you I was sorry for your loss...It truly is heartbreaking to lose a family member and then take care of their belongings and last wishes.
My sister took us to court. She wants her share..lol...and now my brother, he wants the house..to pay a small price and have it.
The other seven of us have come into agreement, that I live in the house. When I am dead and gone, they will sell the house and split the money...by then who knows what will happen.
Once again, so sorry for your loss.

Thanks, Pebble, my mom is still alive. That's the saddest part - that I am forced to sell her house before she dies. It's breaking her heart. It's the last thing she has to hold on to. It wouldn't hurt the government to wait until she's gone to take the money. But governments have no heart.

At least my mom has adjusted to living in the nursing home. She even has a boy friend. Who would have thought - she's 88.

I'm so sorry about the court hassle. Is that part settled? Did a judge make a ruling on your sister's case against you?

Well, I guess that is why in the first post I didn't tell you how sorry I was for your loss...sorry...don't know what my mind was on yesterday..

I am glad your mother has found peace living in the nursing home. My mom
was in it for a short while and was terrified in it. So we brought her back home to take care of her..she was 79, and died a month before her 80th
birthday.
The courts says I have to buy her out...her share of what the house is worth. a minor set back.
It is a shame that the government is so heartless and couldn't wait until your mother has passsed. God Bless you and your family.

Pebble, yes, having to buy out your sister can seem almost impossible, depending on your circumstances. May the right solution/the right way suddenly appear. Blessings to you as you face it all. It's a bummer that your mom was so terrified of a nursing home. The place Mom is in isn't perfect, but some of the staff are exceptional. I'm grateful for this, because my husband and I can not take care of her here. She has so many physical problems.

peteyzen, thanks for your love and light. It does help. Are you into Zen? My husband and I are. Not Buddhism, but quantum zen.

My pleasure packwidget
Quantum Zen is a new one on me, yes I have studied zen to a degree, and it is wonderful but I feel more appropriate when God is added to the equation, I know it doesn`t float everyones baot but it works for me. Be interetsted to know more about quantum zen tho, it sounds fine.
