Not really. You also have to accept that you abdicating your own responsibility for your own sins is somehow a moral thing to do as you jump onto Jesus as your scapegoat.

Are you ready to do such a sin?

I am curious......

Do Gnostics go to war? Do you find them in the military?

Do Gnostics defend themselves even to the point of taking another person's life?

You like to discuss ghosts and goblins and other things that have no possible end game while ignoring the Christian morality that victimizes so many, even in your own family tree.

My religiosity is for the living. Not for the dead.

Getting a little personal......

You do not know anything about my family tree, so why did you say that?

another idea popped into my head....what if you are jewish?
they don't accept the new testament at all?

i googled it and found this

Judaism does not accept the retronymic labeling of its sacred texts as the "Old Testament", and some Jews refer to the New Testament as the Christian Testament or Christian Bible.

so jews dont refer to it as the old testiment, they call it The Hebrew Bible and the first 5 books of the hebrew bible is The Torah

Are the words in ' Red ' 100% guaranteed to be the words of Jesus

AbodhiSky... that's the first time I hear of this. I think we'll have a hard time finding Christians who only see the NT as an authoritative source.

How do you deal with quotes where he refers to stuff that one finds in the OT? How do you view his visit to the temple of Jerusalem?

I'm leaving the bolded -This is what we are talking about - ''being polite''.
No question is stupid to the person asking it.
The word has no purpose in the sentence.
IOW, is unnecessary, rude, and a judgment.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

that's true. i enjoy the Jews for Judaism youtube channel it's sole purpose is to distance the heck of Judaism from Christianity, how Jesus wasn't the messiah, etc. I found them a friendly bunch. Always good to listen to all views. these beliefs i think can bring together as much as divide

I'm suggesting nothing, just pointing to a few verses

Continue to point ! That is the way I view scriptures .... as pointers to the Truth.

I have a "Jewish-Christian" scholarly friend who interpreted the Book of Revelation from the perspective of people living at that time. He viewed Revelation as a message of HOPE to the persecuted Christians of that time.

In brief .... just as mighty Babylon fell unexpectedly in a single day after the destruction of the First Temple ... so would mighty Rome fall after the destruction of the Second Temple. Although mighty Rome didn't fall in a day like Babylon and didn't actually fall until much later, the message of HOPE by John in Revelation resonated far more with me than the doomsday interpretations so prevalent today.

John continues to be relevant today since , just as Babylon and Rome fall, so will other powers of a similar nature throughout the course of history .... as with Hitler and others.
