Happiness is the result of an enlightened mind whereas suffering is caused by a distorted mind.

I think, for everyone in fact, it's like a leap of faith. Not ready and too afraid that in the end, it works.
But I definitely see a few people that act everyday as one with the world.

When reading your comment, I was 'given' a point to make. What you said makes perfect sense but maybe we should expand on what you wrote "I definitely see a few people that act everyday as one with the UNIVERSE."

I was working with what you wrote.
If everybody was attuned to the Universe, would we not all be as one?

Thing is, we're already one. It's just not balanced. Because even if we like it or not, we're all sharing the same space and time.

what you wrote is true, but most people have not acknowledged that point.
Ask yourself "Who are we ?"
and you get diverse answers.
Scientists claim 'We' consist of more bacteria cells then human cells and.......
to make it more interesting, we have more virus cells than bacteria cells !
So "who are WE ?"

It's like in the Matrix, when Agent Anderson makes a similar statement.
To me "who" are we is just another thing to add "flavour" to our characters.
Ask me what are we and I'll always answer that we're souls going in blindly and trying their best.

Religions aren't objective in any real sense, but some religions are more structured and value logical arguments ((albeit in a theological discourse)), which paved the way for studying and examining the natural world. Monks in medieval Europe were very concerned with creating logical arguments for their beliefs, they were very structured, and studied Aristotle and other Greek philosophers. They were more scholars than mystics. Christianity created the setting for modern science to develop, without being about science itself.
New Age beliefs and other paths similar to it could likely never have done that because they don't value logical argument. You only have to go to a New Age book shop or fare and you won't be able to make a meaningful structure of it all.
