Hi miss H.
I'm not sure what you refer to with the "whole bloody thread".
That particular word is a very mild swear word but depends on what context it is used .... If , for example it says "a bloody war" it means just that , a messy war with lots of blood spilt.
As for the 1,111 posts and the reference to the universe I was thinking about all the 97 victims and all of their families at the Hillsborough disaster in England in 1989. It was dreadful . Horrific.
I can remember it as though it was yesterday and something you don't easily forget.
The reference to "you'll never walk alone "is the Liverpool anthem and it was Liverpool that were playing there that day .
So it seemed very poignant that I posted number 1,111 at that particular moment .

Re angelblue
Yes that Hillsborough disaster was just soooo tragic and what makes it worse is that a lot of the lives could have been saved if the officials/police had acted responsibly instead of not caring and actually covering up their inadequacy.
27 years it took those mothers to get justice for their kids! Those women are my hero’s mate. Talk about people power. Also all the team players, the club and fans steadily contributed financially to help them. Just brilliant to see Parliament apologising to Liverpool for their slow response (more like cover up) but it doesn’t bring your kid back does it.
Did you know the Sun newspaper put on their front cover SCOUSERS ROBBING AND URINATING ON THE DEAD the day after the disaster. A complete lie just to sell papers which outraged the fans as it was them who actually saved some of the kids. So after 27 years the fans got an apology from the paper but it took too long and it was too hurtful.
So talk about people power again. Nobody in Liverpool to this day buys the Sun newspaper. The shopkeepers won’t even stock it. They have lost millions on sales. Plus all newspaper media are allowed into Anfield but not the Sun. The sun has tried fighting it but to no avail. It will NEVER happen. Scousers have long memories!
One mother commented: you picked on the wrong people and the wrong town!
Love it!

Hi Red...
I couldn't agree more and as an ex newsagent I know full well how corrupt and disgusting the "Sun " are.
I can also remember seeing images on the front cover of those poor souls crushed against the fencing .
I saw one poor person's face all blue and knew that person was gone and I was sickened to my stomach to think that they could print such images .
It was horrific. All of it.
And this is why I asked if anyone could send a post with the anthem in their memory.
Because we must never forget.
It was the same at the Bradford fire a few years before that where dozens perished . My husband was there that day at the game ...
