Finally finished my attempt at the previous Art Challenge ..... Yay !!
My first attempt was a bit of a disaster to say the least !! ...... trying to paint a ginger moggies fur, with my limited oil painting experience had me banging my head against the wall.
A different approach was needed methought ........
All the time I was painting (or trying to!!) the first effort, I had the song Stray Cat Strut by the Stray Cats in my head ....... blinkin' even went to bed still humming it !!
Thats because I saved the picture of the cat to my laptop, and it was named Feral Cat ....... that got me onto the song, and then the idea for the second go at the Challenge.
I thought I would paint the cat before it ended up in the cage .... i.e. when it was a Stray Cat !!
As the song goes ......
Black and orange stray cat sitting on a fence
Aint got enough dough to pay the rent
I'm flat broke but I don't care
I strut right by with my tail in the air ......
and later ....
I slink down the alley looking for a fight
Howling to the moonlight on a hot summer night. ......
Can you see where I am going with this !!  hee hee
This is my version of the Stray Cat !! ........ " howling to the moonlight on a hot summer night" !!
Now what was the next one ? ..... something about a couple of dice ..................... lol

The only difference in the shape is I added his tail !! ........ just thought he'd look better for having one ...... Kudos to you too for your attempt at drawing the fur ...... I just gave it up as a bad job and tried for summat different !!
