on that would be in order: "How have you tried to know God?"

Anyway, your ques: I lose things a LOT!...I have 5 sets of keys...
I have left them all over town on tables, in offices...doesn't matter
I have extra in my wallet...(I only carry 2).
BUT, when I need something and now...I simply stop...say to myself or
the Powers That Be..."No problem, 'You'll' find them for me..."
And never more than 60 seconds later an idea comes to pick up a magazine or look
on the floor...and there the thing is. I never go around searching.

Is that God? The collective unconscious mind? An angel, my guide?
Or most likely All of The Above...because It's all "God'' or the Divine
Mind that is everywhere...there is no where where It is not....
no where where this One Consciousness is not...from what I have experienced...not coming from books.

Now why did this happen, in MY opinion, that I find things when I expect to? Because this is how God, the
Creator made this brilliant System!
That WE are, ourselves, creators with extraordinary powers, ('in His image')...

God did not create us as robots or puppets...yet, here we are as "discoverers" ! For 'Him' (Who has no gender) to watch!
For 'His' pure enjoyment and expansion.

Now, am I trying to push my beliefs on anyone? No.
I say this stuff for anyone that is interested, that's all.
Am I lazy? Sometimes, sure.
Does 'God' have my remote turn up without me directly asking Him? Yeah....
Do I have to ask for things, (Where are my keys?) not always...

Science may be coming closer and there is no Eastern and Western science, just science.
The question was about Judeo-Christian beliefs coming closer to Hindu-Buddhist-Taoist beliefs. Despite some progressive pronouncements by the current pope I see no closer togetherness, not from the RC church nor other charismatic churches.

You're right. Even though i've liked many things you've said on these forums, and that's why i've been interested in your posts, but still the question was about God. I was trying to drive back to the "If God is compassionate then.." kind of question.

In my opinion, your style of answering my questions at least sometimes has been like: instead of giving an exact answer according to the framework of my question, you've been sharing your experiences. Not saying it's wrong or right in my opinion; this is how at least some conversations have been between two of us; thank you for sharing your experiences.

Ah...your question being...Why does God do what He does if He is compassionate...more or less...

Ha, I suppose because, sure, I could give an 'exact' answer as I see it...
but really how does that help you? It can, of course...whether the ans comes from
another person or from within you ...it is still coming from
the same place, sure...they are all valid...but , like therapists practice..
it is better for the person to have their own 'Ah-ha' moment...rather than the therapist to just
tell them. I am not a therapist, btw...only lived with them for 24 years!

Now, if you read this from me, above, you could glean that this is why
God does what He does...
that WE, ourselves, are the creators of our own environments....the good, the bad and the ugly.
WE have been given the power to change this entire world.
That is how this place was created...as a 'Free Will System"...very
little interference from 'Him'.
In other words, whatever happens here has nothing to do with how much or little love or compassion the Creator has.

This is very imp to understand...as the 'Ant Farm' that this place is...he has given the 'ants' full autonomy....self power.
He is not to be blamed or accused...now when we learn our power...
that we ourselves can heal, turn water to wine, walk on water...even those things are because of our own
knowledge ...not because God intervened...
tho, we tend to think so...I am guilty of that, myself ....but I have
a transparent veil between what is 'me' and what is my Higher Self...
The egoic mind makes us feel separate from our Creator...are we...really?
I feel it is both!
Even tho Jesus did not choose to grasp the equality of himself and his Father, but rather chose to be a servant...

Everyone in their own way is spiritual because spirituality comes with being human. I guess there lies the choice of whether one develops their spiritual nature or leaves it without opportunity to progress.
I myself am a very spiritual person, and grew up going to catholic schools and do not believe in God and haven't since i was a youngen.
