Not all spirits feed off dark energy. Joy is just as nourishing. Be careful. There are spirits that will show you amazing things, string you along, help you for a long while, only to let you down when they are done with you. Read that book by Joe Fisher. That's exactly what they were doing to him, for years and even when he discovered they had lied they continued to try to fool him. He thought great things were happening too but in the end he ended up very disillusioned by the whole experience.
