What was this used for ? Where is this place ?

I have posted this picture to have ye all take a go at what this was used for or to sense where this place is.
We are all mediums on some level so try and go with the first thing that comes to mind when replying to this picture. Even if it seems like its way off base many times we find that first hit really relates.

It's an old, old stone barn. The item is a feeding trough for farm animals.

Okie dokie. A box used to transport weapons and armor maybe? In the armory of a castle. Just guessing.

Hello
That is interesting as no one I have showed this to (doing the same information gathering ) has picked up on a castle. Its not for that but when others have had a go at this one I will explain why what one has picked up is not "guessing" on many levels.
