What do you think is the purpose of life?

some people say every one has a different purpose ... some say all of us have one purpose which is to enjoy life .. or helping others .. or be intelligent to develop the human beings
what do YOU think?

i would say there are two answers.

if we are talking of life as a whole then the purpose is simple - survival. both individual and collectively. from bacteria to humans - and you can also class vegitation with that too.

if we are talking of us humans - then i would say the purpose of life is whatever the individual decides it to be.

Why suffering of the soul? Why should we suffer really? Why the soul in particular? Seems more the flesh would suffer, and the soul sigh with sadness that we are so stuck in suffering or chose to suffer when we don't have to.

Agree with that.

I agree. Does the flesh suffer or does the soul? Does the flesh suffer when the soul (read "our consciousness") has been withdrawn for a while?

Pain needs attention. A patient with severe burns on his body was given a virtual game (the one for which you use a helmet) to play while the dressings were being changed. Normally it is extremely painful. His attention was on the game and he did not feel anything.

To develop as decent human beings and finally re-unite with the Divine for all eternity.
In pure colourless light.
