an old acquaintance dies in your dream

I dreamt of him last night, someone I had not spoken too in years, but had included in group emails lately, spreading news of bizarre revelations on global matters. He was someone who didn't agree with me on these ideas, yet I felt he had it in him to 'awaken' to the ugly reality, and heard later that he had some experiences that left him jaded.
So there he was in my dream last night, a long one too. He had just died and was talking to me after death... how would you take that? I woke up really thinking he died and wondering how, and how sad etc... but then wondered if it meant he had a eureka awakening, some denial broke through. Would you take this to mean his old self 'died'?

No. That doesn't feel right. This was about his change. I am changing/transforming too, but this was about his change.
Part of me still wonders if he really did die and got a new POV surprise on the other side.

Your idea/perception of his old self has died in your perception :)

And death here means change.

nah, he didnt die, but a bunch of ppl w/his same common name did tho. THis was about him waking up to some shocking stuff (which I can't say here....). His HS was telling me he got it. I wanted to be more sure, but I could really only decide for myself.
