Back Pain - Desperate for help!
Hey guys! My cousin has been dealing with chronic back pain for a majority of his life, and I would like to find something that would help him.
In addition to that, he is still suffering from a dislocated shoulder which was not set properly and is causing nerve pain and numbness.
He cannot take traditional low-level pain medication since it no longer helps him, and anything stronger gets him addicted and it stops working unless he overdoes it.
Does anybody have any recommendations for a natural remedy?
Thank you all so much.

Both Chiropractic and Acupuncture (even acupressure carefully done) can help with such pain. It is worth checking out.
There are herbal substances which are traditionally supposed to help to control pain but I don't know how effective they are with that level of discomfort. No herbs for instance, helped me with terrible menstrual cramps! I remember trying everything, and ended up with an OTC painkiller which actually worked! (Even though I always used herbal remedies for everything !)
But of course with narcotic painkillers after a time of using them, they will always become less effective unless the dose is upped more and more, which gets the whole constitution down
But I would suggest checking with the doctor (GP) before booking an appointment with a chiropractor. Not all of them ask for X-ray reports, and some manipulation can do more harm than good without knowing the patient's history.
But acupuncture -wouldn't really be affected by that.

There are plenty of pain rubs and ointments to help ease pain by blocking the sensation. For example, creams with capsaicin can desensitize the pain channels in the affected area. Other ingredients you can look for in topical creams include:
- ketoprofen (Diractin)
- ibuprofen (Nurofen or Dolgit)
- diclofenac (Voltaren)
- lidocaine (Lidoderm)
- cayenne
- comfrey
- Brazilian arnica
Research suggests that topical medications may be just as effective as oral ones. Many of them worked significantly better than placebo. These medications can come in the form of gels, creams, patches, and more. One study also saw decrease in pain when people applied lavender essential oil or ointments prepared with cayenne peppers with acupressure.
Some other brand standards include Icy Hot or Tiger Balm. The effectiveness and side effects of each brand can vary from user to user. You may experience skin irritation with certain brands. Be sure to patch test (apply a small amount and wait 24 hours to see if you experience any side effects) before doing a complete application.

Red Kratom for the pain ..... too much and he will puke , no other side effects other than a bit of Euphoria from feeling RELEIF that WORKS! No overdose potential.
For the Shoulder ..... find a Chinese Massage Therapist! They will gently realign the shoulder and any vertabrea out of alignment which interfere with healing.
Daily Walks in Nature .....
REDUCING all STRESS is Essential!
Yoga, Tai Chi , Meditation , unlearning past conditioning.

You could also try wild lettuce. I haven't tried this yet, but it looks promising.
Apple Cider Vinegar (with the Mother) and turmeric can be helpful in easing inflammation and pain - and of course, there's also white willow bark.

I assume he has seen a number of medical doctors, and I wonder if any cause has been identified, because pain, especially back pain, can be mysterious. You could look up Dr Stuart McGill. He is quite a famous spine specialist who has written a number of books, and he has a strong social media profile as well. There are several videos of his on youtube.
