Two people 'possessed' with the same entity at once?

So I heard the other day, and I dare say it resonates very well with me, that it is possible for the souls of 'living' people to manifest itself in more than one body. I will not go into the details of why I am asking the question, though it is rather urgent in nature (if you feel you need more information in order to answer the question, I will be happy to explain when I find a bit of time), anyway, here goes:
Is it possible for two people, in two separate bodies, to become 'possessed' with the same entity? If it is possible for souls on 'this' side to split, is it not possible for souls in spirit to split and live in two bodies in the form of possession? I have a specific situation I'm wondering about..

Well IMO I don't agree that our soul splits. It has no need to. We can reincarnate over and over. With that said, I feel that spirits/ghosts can ATTACH their energy to people (not in them) but like a puppet, control them. Can a spirit/ghost do this to two people. Yeah because they don't have a limitation like a body housing their soul. They can be anywhere with thought. They are merely energy.

Thanks for your answer, it makes sense. Though I still feel the soul can 'split' in a sense but perhaps 'splitting' was not the greatest analogy. I believe time is not linear, perhaps more like information bouncing back and fourth from every direction all at once (if that makes any sense at all). So I think with that being said, with the belief of reincarnation (which I am a believer in, though like many words, I believe the term 'reincarnation' is the closest word, or human equivalent to the actual 'process' that takes place), I think it is fully possible that the soul is, in a sense, in many places all at once. I talked to a very intuitive woman once about this 'splitting' business. She told me she woke up very upset one morning and couldn't understand her sudden change in mood. After seeing a very good psychic, they suggested that another body in which her soul had been living in had died that same day. She said that made sense. Whether that part of her was living in these 'times' or not (2000's I assume is when it happened), or in a different time which perhaps sort of 'crossed' paths with these 'times', I don't know. Anyway, getting way off topic but just wanted to present that quick view!

Would love to hear more thoughts on the original matter. Thanks.

Yes I agree time isn't linear. Do I believe that it's like a pancake, stacked, yes. I think our soul inhabits one body.. Can you believe how horrible it would be to be in two? One is enough! I only know what I receive from my guides and that is that we don't double/triple incarnate. We do it one at a time. Not sure till I get there I suppose. :)
