Cerulean eyes,
sparkle like deep ocean waves,
mirroring the sky.
Cold, aloof poet,
Lost in unearthly thoughts,
steps into the deluge.
Man mired in ennui,
Enraptured audience,
voice like liquid smoke - mesmerized.

Her call on the wind,
Raven’s wings block out the sun,
His heart flutters still.
Clash against each other,
Tango of entangled bodies,
Wounded moan in pain.
His lips upon her skin,
Alone in the crowd he stood,
Lover’s heart bleeding.

The Devil's passion series
Hands in heavy chains,
Devil’s passionate plea,
‘Mercy for me, Angel!’
Dancing shadows,
The Angel’s game set in motion,
righteous Devil concedes.
All-consuming fury,
Illuminated within,
Devil’s anguished cry.

Reformed crook awaits,
Night falls, danger prowls the streets,
Whisper of a thrill.
The rose thief’s dagger,
Rusty drops fall, unseen, lost,
Ghostly revenant.
Hungry eyes burn gold,
X marks the hidden spot,
Pirate’s treasure gone.

And to me I suppose ...
But ultimately Good always prevails over bad.
And in the verse above
"Hungry eyes burn gold" just zapped me back to someone I used to chat with who's eyes actually had a gold ring round the pupils in certain lights .
But that's the beauty of poetry or art, everyone interprets them in different ways. |
