elisi's philosophy

rules for life

1-be thankful for what you've got and quit whining about what you don't.

2-show respect for mother earth-she's the only home you have.

3-life is to live and learn. lessons will be tossed in your path and not all will be wearing a happy face.

4-when you get up in the morning you have a choice to be happy or a pain in the azz. if you want to keep family and friends on your side, choose the former.

5-if something doesn't go your way, don't dwell. see #3.

6-and as good old oscar wilde said, 'life's too important to be taken seriously.'

Yes, elisi, I was a tough love mom too. Shish! The teenage years. Shiver me' timbers. I don't want to go through those times again. My favorite saying was "Life's a b and then you die." and "whatever". I still say that one. It helps me walk away when I get to emotionally involved.

Yes, if we could get outside our skin and not take everything so personally we would fair much better.
