Where I live, this year had very little fireworks.

Normally, we have a lot of fire works.

in my area we had the typical amount of fireworks. But in other areas almost none at all. I saw one sign that read fireworks cancelled due to insurance reasons. In Milwaukee there is no city fireworks at all because lack of sponsorship. Corporates rule the world, and the people think it's the government. Hahaha.

I watched fireworks on youtube. I thought about going to see the fireworks in my area, but it was hot and I decided to stay home.

fireworks on YouTube if you're going to see them you have to see them in real life. Nothing better than the real thing. If you can't touch it, feel it, or taste it, it's not worth the time.

Many of our councils cancelled firework displays last November because they could not warrant the cost . They said the money would be spent better elsewhere .
I applaud them.
Fireworks are such a waste of money and so annoying, not to mention the trauma it causes to animals and the destruction to wildlife.

This is going to be one of those rare occasions I am going to disagree with you. Yes, fireworks aren't the safest thing out there and for a few hours it disrupts wildlife. But sometimes people need to celebrate. Have a good time. Our 4th of July is one of the few public celebrations I look forward to and enjoy. It's a morale builder. American Thanksgiving (I know that's not politically correct either) and the 4th of July are the only celebrations I care about. You get together with family and friends with no judgement. Just to enjoy the show, or for thanksgiving, a good meal with family and friends. Christmas is one celebration I could easily do without, but that's just me. Ooooh wait, Halloween is a good time to

Haha.... Hallow, you know I love you but I would want them abolished !!!!
Granted many people love them but many more people and pets and animals suffer.
People with PTSD for example.
What about the little children from Ukraine that sought safety in other parts of the world only to hear what sound like "bombs " going off.

But just ignore me, I mean no harm !
