My friends reoccurring visit from a demon

Hi everyone,

The last couple of months my close friend has been waking up paralysed, unable to move and in the corner of the room is a black demon with horns, about the size of a human. It holds him down and he is unable to move.
Is there anyone that has any idea of what it might be, or what might be causing it?
I have heard stories of similar situations before from others, but even they never found out why it happens.

oh gee, the first thing that jumps to mind is the possibility that drug use
may be involved. has your friend been 'using'? perhaps sometime in the past,
and this is a 'flashback' type phenomena.
sleep paralysis is a fairly common thing; it would be noticeable in the
transition stage from wakefulness to sleep (or sleep to awake)... this would
be when the mind may be most vulnerable to 'flights of fancy', spurred by
conscious fears, and unbounded by subconscious direction.
i'm thinking that this is virtually entirely imagination driven, and that your
friend is in no danger from external threats.
you might do some demon research, for the purpose of demystifying the
issue, and bringing knowledge to the unknown.
