Altair... I agree completely.
There was a lot for the club to deal with with recent events and you would think they were thankful for small mercies ...
Hull city sacked their manager cos they came 7th and missed out on 6th spot and missed out on play offs ...

AB. I so agree with you regarding Ponchettino/Chelsea. He got them into the Europa and that’s a hell of an achievement in the PL.
I think I read that he left by mutual consent.
Personally I think he’s a good coach, after all he did take Tottenham to the Champions League final, so he’s got what it takes to do great things with a team. I hope he takes on another premier league team and do well with them.
Chelsea seems to me like a bit of a cut throat club. A bit like United has been since Fergie left.
I see Rashford and Henderson have been left out of the England team. Hendo, it’s understandable with his age but I feel sorry for Rashford cos he’s had a hard year and he’s still a young lad.

Henderson and Rashford left out ?
I know Henderson is 33 but I would have thought he'd have another world tournament in him .
I'll miss his presence in the squad .
Likewise with Rashford, as you say Red , only still young at 26.
Was a reason given for him missing out ?

Good Match last, Atalanta vs Leverkusen, Europa League Final, here in Dublin.
3-0 nil Atalanta with Ademola Lookman, scoring 3 very nice goals. Atalanta never looked like losing, obviously had a game plan and it went like clockwork.
I'd say there were a few Guinnesses sunk by the Italians last night, only their 2nd ever trophy, first being some 60 years ago which was the Coppa del Italia.

Oh, I didn't realise it was going to be played in Dublin Joe.
Bet there was a brilliant vibe, and I bet the teams and fans alike loved the city and I know the locals would have made them so welcome.

Leeds have played Southampton 100 times, we have lost 30 drew 22 and won 48 (we are owned by the 49'rs so it will be very fitting to win at wembly to take the tally to that magic number) it's played on Sunday 26/5/2024, which likel contains a few more coincidences

Owned by the 49's ? Do you mean the American football team? I didn't know that !!!!
But yes... Maybe it's an omen then to beat them for a 49th time. Almost written in the stars .
