Do you mean that definitions can be wrong but the experience itself is always perfect?
And why is the experience called "the shining light of pure knowing" ?
For example, we cannot see the light that sound radiates.
And if it were possible, why would it not be called an experience, but "pure knowing" instead?
The idea that we can know experiences, ok, relatively.
But in absolute terms, no thing happens twice. So no experience can ever be truely known, because it has never happened before in absolute terms. So we cannot even remember it, as it cannot exist as a memory, if it has never happened before.
And the experience of it will also always change.
Even repetition adds up and will thus always change.

This can be tricky! Does the experience come from experiencing something for your self as an individual or does the experience come from knowledge/information that you got from someone else? Therefore you experience through someone else, by the way, it is impossible to gain experience from someone else, and is not gaining experience for yourself. Someone can only point to the eperience for you.
Pure knowing also requires knowledge and trust and belief in someone.

Imo Pure Knowing is our basic nature of intelligent awareness. Different from human knowledge, it is our core state of just knowing. Knowing I am, if you like. I could say it is the primordial knowing and being, but it is prior to and encompassing time.
Experiencing of things is a later development in time and apparent separation. The things come and go, but the experiencing itself rests in our nature of Pure Knowing.

I guess it's my experience.
Do you mean it requires trust and belief to EVENTUALLY GET the knowing?
Obviously if we know something, we don't need trust or belief anymore. Right?
But I don't know what JASG or Rupert Spira ment with "pure" knowing. Or "the shining light of pure knowing". It sounds nice tho.

It's the knowing of experience, including the knowing of experience of absence. It's not a knowing by mind but a knowing of mind (knowing of things which includes thoughts) as well as no mind (knowing of absence of all things including thoughts). It's the very same knowing for all the blind men, regardless which part of the elephant they touch. The knowing is intrinsic and the thing known is extrinsic. The knowing is ever-present and unchanging.
The Shining Light of Pure Knowing is, for lack of a better word, God. We can also swap out God for consciousness/awareness, just not in the way most think of it.
Perhaps a way to clarify further is Consciousness illumines mind and that illumination gives rise to a false sense of mind being consciousness itself (intrinsic) instead of a reflection (extrinsic). It's like mistaking the face in the mirror for the actual face and not a reflection.

You mean the awareness of awareness?
I had some unusual experiences with that, of which none I was able to replicate.
But most of the time it just feels like a relaxing meditation for me.

Oh, thanks for sharing that. And yeah, that's how it felt, now that I think about it. My unusual experiences with returning my awareness back unto my awareness does always have atleast some aspects of what you're saying here. But I can never replicate it at will.
I remember often it does have a sense of invulnerability in it. Like I am retreated into my non-physical invulnerable self. Very nice feeling.
