Weird light on fish pond
I go to feed a neighbour's cat for them. I also feed the fish in a small but deep fish pond.
The other evening I went to the pond and just looked in first before feeding the fish. It was getting almost dark. Maybe about 9 to 9.30pm. I could still see things just about okay though.
Suddenly something grey-white, like a dim nebulous light about 2ft wide rose up and broke the surface of the water, sort of folded over on itself, and disappeared. That happened in maybe a half second. It gave me a shock. There was no 'feeling' attached to this phenomenon.
(BTW it wasn't a fish.)
I have no idea what it was! Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have found those transition times to be when all the paranormal stuff happens for me.
That light consciousness sounds like it is from second dimension.

At the bottom of most ponds you will get decaying matter that under certain conditions produces gas that when it reaches the surface and air will ignite. Always used to be called Willo the wisp, or marsh fairies

Marsh Gas is Methane CH4, I have heard it can ignite but have never seen it happen.. Its a decomposition rather than anything paranormal...

I never saw it again since that evening. I mentioned it to the owner of the property who is hardly ever there, and she said that there used to be a tiny underwater light at the bottom of the pond, but it stopped working years ago and was never fixed or replaced. Otherwise she couldn't imagine what it was and gave me an odd look! LOL
The 'marsh gas' idea sounds feasible.
