Dog going nuts in home. Please help!

I'm going to post this in several places because I'm not sure where a question such as this should go.
So, all of the sudden my dog is very anxious, whimpering and crying, wanting to be outside, scratching at the window, staying glued to me and my boyfriends sides except when she is at the door crying to get out, and really looses it when we have to leave for work leaving her at home alone. This has happened before and it seemed to have something to do with the fact that she got a spider bite that caused a reaction in her. After treatment with meds she got better. And it was only a day or two this. This time we cannot figure out what it is? I even considered carbon monoxide or something of that nature was in the house, but it tested fine. This as been going on for a few days now and is getting worse. She had us up all night. She is also jittery and very sensitive to sounds. Every little click or squeak from the heater vents makes her jump and/or get more anxious. She does have a vet appointment but I have a feeling that he wont find anything wrong.

Can anyone with intuitive or other abilities tell me what may be causing this?

Olivia13 - I don't know if there is paranormal activity in your house or not, but can only speak from my experience. I used to live in a very old haunted house. Things happening there drove me crazy and my dog as well. Doors would open by themselves and when they did my dog would stare as though she could see something. The hair on her back would stand straight up, she would whimper and would motion for me to let her outside. After living in the house for several years she started being afraid of the noise of wind on windy days. The wind would sometime howl around the house and perhaps that made her feel it was similar to the paranormal activity. So on windy days she practically stepped all over my feet trying to stay so close by my side everywhere I went. And she would stand and just shiver like she was very scared. Dogs are more sensitive to the spirit world than we are and can pick up on energy easier. Perhaps there is something in your house that is scaring your dog while you're away. I don't know what it is, again, just telling you my story.

Try a cleansing with sage and see if that helps

I would also take her to the vets to make sure it's nothing physical. When my dog is sick or in pain she comes to me to let me know - whines/whimpers and puts her head between my legs or tries to sit on my lap (and she's an 80 lb German Shepherd Dog, lol)
