You have been given some awesome responses, so I'll try not to be a rerun. But I have to point out too that LOA is a Universal Law, like gravity. It applies itself to you, no matter what. Knowing why you are attracting what you are attracting is half the battle, then the other half is just getting happy. As wandering star put so eloquently, it's how you handle your life that counts, and there is a positive aspect and a negative aspect to everything, so if you turn right instead of left, if left is what you do always, and you try a different behavior, a more positive behavior than you would have tried had you not been conscious of LOA, and you keep trying to reach for a better feeling thought, instead of dwelling, it doesn't have to be a big leap - just something that feels a little better than what you are thinking about, then LOA will do it's work, and give you more of those thoughts, instead of the dwelling ones. Then it is easier to think a better thought.

I would also say that Abraham also has introduced this wonderful concept of: we never get it done, and the universe is expanding and so are you. So you may have manifested something wonderful, and you are so happy about it, but then you expand and you have to align yourself again, and until you do, you will get more contrast, then you like up with that thought or that idea, and that manifests and then you expand, etc, etc, so it is always a moving target. Maybe that is some of what you are experiencing. We are here for the journey to the manifestation, and if you are happy and joyful you will enjoy the journey, no matter when the manifestation comes. The Joy is what you are after, the rest is gravy.
