Dog risks its own life to save woman
Just saw this amazing story about a pit bull terrier which risked her own life (needing amputation of a leg by a vet) in saving her caretaker, who had fallen on to a railway line. That needed not just intelligence to understand the danger to the caretaker, but also unconditional love. The story is here: http://www.globalanimal.org/2012/05/...n-video/73865/

How heartwarming. Very sad the dog was injured but what an incredible act of love from animal to human.

"don't blame the breed" as they say, I'm glad there are more pitbull advocates raising the awareness.

hahahaa!!! no really it's true when a pitbull kills someone it's all over the news, people don't realize ANY dog can kill I have always wanted to have a pitbull because in my country the dogs are generally smaller and are mix breeds, so I am a bit scared of bigger dogs and I want to eliminate that fear, I think these things I am learning about pitts is the best way to do it :)
